The Notre Dame Environmental Change Initiative's research tackles the interrelated problems of invasive species, land use, and climate change — focusing on their synergistic impacts on water resources. With approximately 40 affiliated faculty members who have a wide array of expertise, ND-ECI is dedicated to globally significant multidisciplinary research and a commitment to making that research applicable and directly relevant to policymakers, businesses, the nonprofit community and the general public.
The research of ND-ECI aids in the development of new technology and tools for managers and decision-makers, including improved models for environmental forecasting, nitrogen sensors for better pollution management, rapid detection for rare species and online climate collaboratory.
By identifying solutions that produce the greatest gains in environmental health and social welfare, ND-ECI embodies the vision of "science serving society," in which scholars from science, engineering, social sciences, humanities and policy contribute objective analysis, motivated by a passionate commitment to translational research, that serves nature and humans. The goal of ND-ECI is to provide solutions that minimize the trade-offs between human welfare and environmental health where trade-offs are unavoidable, and to discover win-win solutions where they are possible.

Notre Dame-inspired FISH (Fellow Irish Social Hub) is an independent social venture incubator designed to identify, develop and implement socially innovative ideas into for-purpose enterprises and to maximize their impact on society.
FISH provides a full suite of incubation services to promising social entrepreneurs through a centralized infrastructure. This hub provides an environment in which human and intellectual capital can connect with professional and financial capital.
FISH invites Notre Dame students, faculty, alumni and local community members to help develop socially innovative ideas into for-purpose enterprises.

Developed in collaboration with the Law School, the College of Science, and the College of Engineering, Notre Dame's Master of Science in Patent Law is among the first programs of its kind in the country. A one-year, graduate-level program, the Master of Science in Patent Law prepares students with a technical background to pass the USPTO's Patent Bar and to succeed in daily practice as a patent agent or patent examiner - without spending years in law school.

The Corporate Partnership for Economic Growth (CPEG) represents an ongoing effort to engage regional business leaders and promote the long-term growth and prosperity of Northern Indiana. CPEG provides the resources to successfully spur broad regional and supra-regional initiatives and face the challenges and opportunities of competing in a global economy.
The members of CPEG believe that to be competitive in a global economy, the region must address key issues that transcend traditional geographic and political boundaries. Furthermore, the region’s ability to successfully leverage available opportunities hinges on the engagement of the private sector. The Partnership also works with a network of community collaborations to coordinate and/or augment multi-jurisdictional initiatives.

The flexibility of options including quick print, centralized reproduction, commercial print equipment, and in-house expertise ensure clients receive a combination of high quality/cost-effective printing that suits their project need. Other services include: the Professional Services Group, specializing in document management strategies; the Commercial Services Group for high volume color critical products, the Graphic Services Group and the Fulfillment Services Group offering end-to-end services including design, production and delivery.
